![]() ![]() Raheem Mostert, RB, Miami Dolphins (Available in 47 Percent of ESPN Leagues) Pickens is a good short and long-term pickup. It's unclear how much of a difference Pickett will make on the overall production of the offense but the early returns suggest he knows to get the ball to Pickens above all else, which is tremendous news in fantasyland. After Trubisky got benched and Pickett entered the game, Pickens was targeted five times and caught four of those passes for 73 yards. Pickens may very well be the biggest winner of the Kenny Pickett-for-Mitchell-Trubisky swap. George Pickens, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers (Available in 66 Percent of ESPN Leagues) The matchup this week against Tampa Bay isn't very favorable but Allgeier is still worth the pickup for the long-term benefit. ![]() Allgeier was already eating into Patterson's snaps in the first four games of the year and will get the first opportunity to claim the No. The Falcons have been fairly competent offensively and a surprisingly-improved offensive line has given Atlanta's running backs a lot of room to work. (All stats via ESPN PPR Leagues) Tyler Allgeier, RB, Atlanta Falcons (Available in 83 Percent of ESPN Leagues)Ĭordarrelle Patterson is heading for the IR and Allgeier is the man in line to benefit the most. Here are the best five waiver wire pickups for Week 4. Just in case you wanted to satisfy the fantasy itch to the fullest extent possible. It pairs wonderfully with our weekly start 'em, sit 'em columns. ![]() Good luck the rest of the way.Welcome to The Big Lead's weekly fantasy football waiver wire column. So those are a few guys you can go out and get yourself some help at the running back position if you're hurting. So this coaching staff with Melvin Gordon's fumbling problems noted, might start to move towards Mike Boone. Didn't get a lot of touches or anything like that, but he had kind of sort of started to get involved anyway. It is worth noting too, even before the Williams injury, dating back like week 2, week 3, he was running a decent amount of routes. He's not a seasoned saver, but he's certainly a guy that you need to add. I don't think he's like burn your top waiver priority or burn all your fab dollars for Mike Boone, anything like that. I think you can go ahead and add Mike Boone. I've been on record being kind of skeptical of the whole operation for a while, Andy.īut at the same time, like this is a potential 1A, 1B in a committee that is available. Mike Boone on the other hand, is widely available throughout Yahoo leagues. We're not quite sure how the split is going to work going forward, but Javonte Williams, once he left the game, Mike Boone was the guy who came in and immediately got work behind him. He's also rostered pretty much throughout Yahoo league, so he's not really an option to go out there and pick up. Talk about consistent, Melvin Gordon's fumbling problem has been consistent. Really the most consistent player on that Denver offense so far. Obviously, we mentioned Javonte Williams also out for the season. But if anybody can thrive in that match-up, it's probably going to be the guy who's catching passes. ![]() I should mention, they've got Tampa Bay coming up. I would expect Allgeier to be the guy that you want in the weeks ahead. We should also mention Caleb Huntley, just looks like a goal line thumper. He's the guy that I would actually target here. Waiver wire pickups plus#10 carries, 80 plus yards on the ground, also caught a ball for 20 yards, broke some tackles. Had a great day in week 4 in relief of Patterson. He's been really good in that capacity so far. He did catch 28 balls at BYU last season. And this was kind of an open question about him. He's a rookie out of BYU coming off an 1,800-yard season at the collegiate level. The player that is of greatest interest to me is Tyler Allgeier. Tell the people out there who they can pick up from Atlanta to potentially help out their fantasy teams.ĪNDY BEHRENS: Oh, the Atlanta situation is a little bit of a mess. We have Cordarrelle Patterson going on IR as well. We have Javonte Williams out for the season. MATT HARMON: All right, Andy, we're heading into week 5, and we have some big running back injuries out there. ![]()
